Dream Blog Post from Margaret Stead

Who would have thought it? Eating organically, walking five miles a day and conscientiously (and probably annoyingly) avoiding any carcinogenic possibility like oil products or hidden toxins in the home, such as foam in the bathroom for example. Here I was living the dream and its got me - Lymphoma/Non Hodgkins. I've spent the summer in various hospitals in the region and cannot speak too highly of the loving care that I've received from my medical professionals and all my Canadian friends who have rallied to my support. You wouldn't believe how lovely people have been, so moved, thank you all.

I'm currently receiving out-patient chemo at the magnificent Grand River Hospital in Kitchener, Waterloo region, Ontario and it will be a long haul, maybe six months. I've had two sessions already and feel better already so I'm dong all the positive things I can think of and just beginning to have the strength to communicate.

I got a call yesterday from someone who might be facing a termination notice and my advice to them was to face it super-bravely, to look at it as a golden opportunity to shout about. To get champagne, get Kettles crisps, party and manage the sadness and hurt of the people around them. The joy, excitement and confidence they show will rub off on those around them and exciting projects and possibilities will appear as if by magic. I promise.

Love and Light

Margaret
